Between Camps Bay and Llandudno in beautiful Cape Town, there is a small sun-baking oven called Bakoven beach. This little rocky sanctuary is home to a small residential community with the luxury of bay windows built on the sand. This protected beach area offers medium blue waves with kelp forests and rock pools ideal for toy fishing nets, in contrast to Camps Bay’s vast linear expanse. The atmosphere is peaceful, the tanning space is constrained, and the ocean contact is cool.
The comfort of privacy is there at this unique beach experience, but there are no public facilities. Bring your own cooler and sunscreen so you can enjoy the bayside treasure while taking in the mountains of Cape Town.
