The posh neighbourhood of Granger Harbor is located on the Atlantic Ocean with some of the most breathtaking views of Table Bay and Robben Island, making it one of the best places in Cape Town to watch sunsets. Granger Bay is almost adjacent to the V&A Waterfront in its own bay.
The main attraction of Granger Bay is its location. The suburb offers business travellers several options since it is only 20 minutes from the airport, minutes from the city, and minutes from Cape Town’s International Conference Centre. It is also conveniently close to some of Cape Town’s trendiest neighbourhoods and beaches.
Granger Bay is next to the Metropolitan Golf Club, which is a part of the Green Point Common, an urban green space that also contains the Green Point Stadium and was the subject of a contentious fight by neighbourhood residents to preserve the common before the 2010 World Cup. One of the biggest markets in Cape Town, the Green Point Market is held every Sunday in the parking lot outside the stadium and is definitely worth a visit. It features music, crafts, and a ton of traditional African art and curios.
Additionally, the district provides access to the Sea Point promenade, which offers a lovely stroll that features views of the bay’s ships, seagulls, and inhabitants walking their dogs.
