Namibia Tourism Board engages stakeholders

The Namibian Tourism Board (NTB) has met with industry stakeholders in the country to solicit and share upcoming programs with them.

In a hearty interaction with the various groupings and individual players of the sector in Windhoek and Swakopmund, the CEO of NTB DIGU Naobeb reiterated the board’s commitment to listen to the needs of the industry to help fashion out programs for the sector.

According to the NTB Chief, the aim of the gathering was to share the draft Marketing strategy for 2024/2028 with the trade and gain inputs and feedback from the industry. The plan was well received by the industry members with inputs and adjustment suggestions on the focused source markets especially.

The meeting was part of a series of engagements by the Tourism Authority ahead of its major roadshows in key source markets.

Namibia’s tourism industry has in the first half of the year, recorded impressive figures which gives impetus to the recovery efforts by the southern African country.

The stakeholder engagement session in Swakopmund and Windhoek was to engage industry stakeholders, apart from unpacking the draft marketing strategy, it also allowed NTB to share with the industry, the planned activities for the remainder of the 2023-2024 calendar year.
