Starting on October 29, All Nippon Airways (ANA) will more than triple the number of international flights it currently operates from Tokyo’s downtown Haneda airport, from five to sixteen.
All ANA flights from Haneda to Europe (London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Munich), as well as flights to Hong Kong, Taipei Songshan, Honolulu, Singapore, Sydney, Shanghai (Hongqiao), Shenzhen, and Vancouver, are included in the 16 international flights. Some of these services, such as flights to Sydney and Frankfurt, will operate many times every day.
The minimum transfer time at Terminal 2 from domestic flights to international flights is 55 minutes, enabling travelers to easily connect from Japanese cities to foreign locations via Haneda.
ANA says it will change the operating hours of the ANA SUITE LOUNGE and ANA LOUNGE in Terminal 2 for foreign flights to accommodate the extra departures to meet the increase in passengers. Beginning on October 29, the ANA LOUNGE’s bar counter and live kitchen will also reopen.
The member of the Star Alliance says it will keep increasing the number of flights it runs out of Terminal 2.
With just two helicopters when it was founded in 1952, ANA is currently the biggest airline in Japan, including Peach Aviation, its dedicated low-cost carrier. The airline is the biggest user of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and a launch client.
In addition to having joint venture agreements with United Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss International Airlines, and Austrian Airlines, ANA joined Star Alliance in 1999.
