About Waverley, Johannesburg – South Africa

Waverley is a tiny residential neighbourhood in Johannesburg, Gauteng’s Highlands North. The metropolitan epicentre from which millions of foreign tourists start their discovery of the lovely country of South Africa is Johannesburg (also known as the City of Gold), which is home to the OR Tambo International Airport and the Lanseria International Airport. Wide roadways with towering, green trees on either side and an abundance of greenery are features of Waverley, giving the entire area a lush appearance and a pleasant feeling. Only 19 kilometres separate from Waverley from the OR Tambo International Airport and the popular Bidvest Wanderers Stadium, which hosts important local and international cricket matches and is frequented by devoted fans. Waverley is ideally located between the M1 highway and Louis Botha Avenue. The St Mary’s School for Girls, the oldest school in Johannesburg, is located in Waverley.

In close proximity to Waverley, the Balfour Mall is a well-liked shopping area with more than 85 stores, franchises, boutiques, and eateries. The distance between Waverley’s centre and the Johannesburg Zoo is only 5.5 kilometres. The white rhino, caracal, striped hyena, Siberian tiger, African hippo, Nile crocodile, gorilla, and Eurasian eagle owl are just a few of the truly wild occupants of this popular attraction.

The SA Museum of Military History, the Bruma Lake Flea Market, Melrose Arch, and Constitution Hill are additional close attractions. Genuine South Africa can be experienced in its sights, sounds, flavours, and smiles, and Waverley is a handy, central location from which to do so.
