Amanzimtoti Bird Sanctuary – South Africa

The Amanzimtoti Bird Sanctuary is a well-known tourist destination. It is bordered by rolling grass and features a wide stretch of open glistening water. On one hand, there are gardens, while on the other, there are indigenous luscious forests.

A 30-minute self-guided walk weaves through the woodland and is a birdwatcher’s paradise. Many of the sanctuary’s 150 bird species, including the resident Spurwing Geese, White-Faced Duck, Greenback Heron, Giant Kingfisher, and Hamerkop, can be seen.

You’re likely to see the Giant Kingfisher, Spurwinf Goose, and other birds in the indigenous forest, which has over 150 kinds of birds. There is a tea garden overlooking the lake where you may see some magnificent birds, some of which will gladly take food from your hand.
