ASKY takes delivery of two Boeing 737-8 MAX

Following the successful lease agreement with AerCap, a leading global commercial aircraft lessor, ASKY, the Pan-African Airline, proudly presents its two newly acquired Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft, registered as ET-BAQ and ET-BAR. These modern planes offer a seating capacity of 160 passengers, comprising 16 Business Class and 144 Economy Class seats.

The official unveiling took place on September 1, 2023, at Lomé’s Gnassingbé Eyadema International Airport and witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries such as the Minister of Road, Air and Rail Transport, airport officials, Togo CAA representatives, aviation enthusiasts, ASKY’s senior leadership, travel agency professionals, media, and special guests.

These Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft are equipped with cutting-edge technology prioritizing fuel efficiency while minimizing environmental impact and ensuring exceptional flight quality. The interiors have been meticulously designed for passenger comfort, featuring flexible seating arrangements and state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment systems.

This acquisition underlines ASKY’s commitment to modernizing its fleet and offering passengers the latest in aviation technology.

Mr. Esayas Woldemariam Hailu, ASKY’s CEO, expressed his enthusiasm about this significant addition to their fleet, saying, “Incorporating these two Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft into the ASKY family represents our steadfast commitment to providing top-notch air transport services. During the event, the Minister of Road, Air, and Rail Transport emphasized the collaboration between ASKY and Ethiopian Airlines, stating, “Aviation serves as a global bridge that connects cultures and people, and this event marks a pivotal moment in Togolese civil aviation, showcasing Togo’s significant stake in ASKY since August 21, 2023.”
