KAIST University Scholarship Benefits
The KAIST International Scholarship for foreign students offers the following benefits:
- Tuition fee waiver for 4 semesters (Master) / 10 semesters (integrated Master-PhD) / 8 semesters (PhD).
- Monthly allowance: KRW 350,000 per month (Master) or KRW 400,000 per month (Doctorate). The amount of the allowance may increase depending on participation in a research project.
- Health Insurance.
KAIST University Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for KAIST University Scholarship, the candidate must fulfil all of the following requirements below:
- Required Language: Applicants must meet one of the English proficiency test minimum score requirements:
- TOEFL iBT 83 (PBT 560, CBT 220)
KAIST’s institution code for TOEFL is 0195 - IELTS 6.5 band(Academic mode)

- For doctoral scholarships, applicants hold or expect to hold a bachelor’s and master’s degree before enrollment at KAIST
