Mouille Point Beach – Cape Town Beaches

It’s a gorgeous day in Mother City, and what began as a casual morning shopping trip to the V&A Waterfront turns into an all-day buying extravaganza. You want to take advantage of the Cape shore but it’s too late for a beach day. Visit Granger Bay beach, which is also known as Mouille Point Beach. Simple street parking, peace and quiet, speedy access, no steps, view of Robben Island, and benches from where you can observe children playing in the rock pools.

You may still feel the sand between your toes, feel the wind blowing over your hair, and toss a beach ball around in safety. Great coffee shop next door to treat yourself for not throwing Junior back, a gelato shop across from the waves to thank Junior for returning the starfish, and a terrific cocktail bar with a view of the ocean to relax after a stressful day. When Junior notices someone skating by on the sidewalk along the ocean, a popular route for skaters, he begins pleading for a pair of rollerblades.
