Which District Is Tesano
The Okaikwei North Municipal is one of Ghana’s 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) and one of the Greater Accra Region’s 29 MMDAs.
In 2018, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly carved off the Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly as one of 38 newly constituted and upgraded district assemblies.
The Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly was established with LI 2307, and its capital is Tesano. It is located in the central section of the Greater Accra Region.
The municipality, along with 37 other newly constituted districts, was launched on March 15, 2018.
According to the 2021 population and housing census, the Municipality’s population is 160,446 people, with 78,421 men and 82,025 women.
