Ghana Travel Restrictions

Ghana is open to most travelers again. I mean travelers from all over the world. However, you do need proof of your COVID-19 vaccination(s) or a negative test result before being allowed entry.

Many hotels, attractions, and private tours are open with new health & safety protocols in place, and you still have to follow certain guidelines. They are all good for our safety.

Restaurants In Koforidua

1.Avenue Wuha Chop Bar (Aben wo ha)

Avenue is a very old chop bar located at the Galloway Junction. If you’re in a part of town that won’t let you go into the city centre and are around Korle, Nursing Training Area, ICGC, Cultural Centre, Galloway, Sectech, and their surrounds, this is the chop bar to go to. Although the chop bar’s Visioneer recently died away, the establishment has been rebranded and is once again bustling. This is where you will be met by the aroma of boiling liver ground with boiled ginger, which will be used to spice up your fufu soup.

2.Chris Café

In the mid-90s, the good old Chris Café was one of the most popular places to eat in Koforidua, yet they have since lost ground to some newer restaurants owing to a variety of circumstances. One possibility is that the visionary is no longer alive and that everything has altered dramatically.

Despite the changes, Chris Café continues to provide the greatest little chops (pastries) in Koforidua, their spring rolls are in high demand, and their Banku with Okro stew remains a favourite among locals.

The “Café,” located in the heart of the city within the SSNIT building, is a must-see for anybody visiting Koforidua

3.Abease

This is the first “fufu establishment” you see as you reach Koforidua from the south via “Aburi.” The pub, which is arguably one of the oldest “fufu dining establishments” in Koforidua, is famed for its excellent soup and is located around 500 metres from Mile 50.

What began under a palm tree (Abease) has grown into a centre and the number one attraction for visitors to Koforidua. The palm palms are still available for people to sit under and eat “fufu” today. Abease hasn’t altered all that much. Why not give it a shot next time you’re in Koforidua?

4.Koforidua Linda Dor

The “Linda Dor” restaurant has a long history of providing high-quality meals. Many people still prefer to eat at the “Post Office Linda Dor,” which was originally located within the Post Office building, since they believe it delivers an authentic taste of the old “Linda Dor.”

Regardless, the restaurant has grown and improved, and it now occupies a larger space at the Linda Dor Plaza. The establishment is comparable to any first-class restaurant in the country. It’s one of the few restaurants where you can order almost any type of meal and know you’ll be served. If you can’t locate it at Linda Dor in Koforidua, it’s possible that you won’t be able to find it anywhere else in the city. The restaurant offers a wide range of cuisines, from continental to regional. From vegan to non-vegan diets, and vice versa.

There will be no shortage of drinks or tiny chops, and everyone will get exactly what they desire. With the choice to eat indoors or outside, especially in the evenings, this is a one-of-a-kind establishment that you must see when in Koforidua.

5.Acapulco

The inauguration of the then Koforidua Polytechnic coincided with the opening of Acapulco Fufu Chop Bar (now Technical University). The “Chop bar” is located at the Poly Junction and serves to “welcome” all visitors to the Technical University. Because a man is the driving force behind the well-known establishment, you will have the uncommon and unique opportunity to consume soup produced and served by a man. Acapulco is recognised for having a wide variety of bushmeat for his customers.
