This is what the first couple on my list said about the resort. “From the outset, we had some concerns. The location was in Akosombo, and we thought it might be a bit far from Accra. However, the travel agent made up for these doubts by telling us we were only 45 minutes away. When we arrived at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. It was an excellent hotel with friendly people”

Cape Coast has been one of the best travel destinations in Ghana for everyone because of the number of historical sites it host. One of Central Region’s resorts I will always recommend for couples looking to find peace and feel home-away-from-home, Blue Diamond Beach Resort. It is said to be one of the luxurious places you can find at Gomoa in the Central Region. The drone view of the resort will let you fall in love with the place.
Blue Diamond Beach Resort is a perfect destination for couples looking to escape the city and all the stress. It is among the few travel destinations in Ghana you can play with pets when you book a stay or visit. If you are a pet lover then you are going to enjoy playing with pets like peacocks, ducks, guinea fowls, cats, parrots, and many other pets.
Choosing Blue Diamond as your destination also gives you a chance to visit some of the amazing historical sites in Ghana. The resort is located near a colonial fishing town known as Apam. The town also features a colonial castle, Fort Patience, and a colonial church making it a perfect getaways trip.

Maybe White Sand Beach Resort will be on my bucket list when I marry, for now, let me keep this a secret before my future wife finds out my plans (lol).
Each room is designed to have a sweeping view across the ocean. White Sand Beach guests can laze in their own luscious tropical gardens or by the private plunge pools where alfresco dining can be arranged for those intimate moments.
The rooms can be expensive when booking on the resort’s website. if you looking to save money on bookings, then it will be best to make bookings from top travel agent websites like Booking.com, TripAdvisor.com, or Hotels.com.

5.Maaha Beach Resort
Having a vacation package where you can visit Nzulezu (village on water) sounds very amazing and fun. Blending Africa-style settings with luxury and a serene environment makes it look so natural. Maaha Beach Resort is designed to meet that Africa tradition style standard.
The resort is located far from the city and out of town, making it the best hideout for couples. It’s a very good destination for relaxation and being in touch with nature. I don’t know about their room service but their restaurant service tops all. According to the reviews from google. their room service is 4-star rated.
During my visit, I did my enquiries even though I knew I was not going to sleep. A room was around $120 USD to $300 USD. Price changes depending on which season and it can be cheaper on some travel agent websites.
6.Meet Me There
If you are looking for amazing vacation locations in Ghana, the Volta Region host some of the beautiful places for the best ‘’couplecation’’ (lol). Located in a small town Dzaita, Meet me There Resort. The resort is ideal for couples who enjoy being close to nature and also want to have access to all modern amenities.
The resort is the best place to get always from the world unless you want to use your phone. But there is no Wifi or TV in their room. Making it one of the best couple destinations in Ghana for you two to find yourselves.
With all the relaxing, calm, and eco-friendly experience, you can book a room starting from $35 USD to $70 USD. You may consider booking in advance to secure a room since it’s budget-friendly. Booking on their personal website is also cheap as well. (ghanameetmethere.com)
7.Rippels Lodge
The lodge was built by german couples (Tilman Rippel and Bettina Ripple) who visited Ghana and fall in love with the beautiful coast of the country. So you can imagine the place was designed to meet the couple destination standard in Ghana ( I don’t know if there is a standard for that).
Couples can enjoy the amazing view overlooking the palm beach and the natural reserve. Enjoy the ocean, nourishing food, spiritual experiences, and holistic awareness. There are only 3 guests’ houses and making it a very quiet place to help couples meditate and focus more on their connection with each other. You will need a place peaceful like this to dive into self-finding to help you build a strong relationship.
The lodge hosts a 25m long pool, 3 small houses with two guest rooms each, a summer hut, a dining room with a terrace, and a garden house for holistic healing. Anything you thinking of to make a vacation perfect, Reppels lodge has it all in one package. One amazing thing at this lodge is each room has the same view and equipment.
Their rooms rate includes accommodation, breakfast, and dinner. Room occupancy 1 – 2 persons and reservations are not possible. Please check availability and book by advance payment. Room booking is $170 USD which sounds cheap and budget-friends for a luxurious Lodge like Rippels.
8.Aqua Safari
Arguably, the best couple destinations in Ghana are outside Accra. If you are still thinking of picking the best destinations, you may consider adding Aqua Safari to your bucket list. It is one of the most popular places in Ghana hosting thousands of guests every year. And you may love to join the Aqua safari trend on social media.
Couples can have a romantic date night right at the beach and (maybe) that is the dream of every couple. Couples will experience the delight of a romantic view with local and continental delicacies of their choice. Their staff will be at your service during the entire dinner. Feeling your toes in the sea sand, to a candlelight dinner, you are assured of a relaxed feel and an intimate vibe.

There are few movies I enjoyed where couples have vacations explore some of African’s top safari. And I think having a safari experience with your partner can also create some amazing memories. Mole National Park is the best safari park in Ghana I would love to recommend to any couple looking to have the best safari experience.
Located in the Northern Region and their main entrance is at Damongo, where park guides will lead you through the beautiful forest to visit the various habitats. It is advisable to have the best safari travel gears when visiting the park.
There are hotels close to the park you can spend a night or two exploring the park. Couples can have their breakfast with some animals from the park.
