Accra

Accra, Ghana’s main city with a population of two million people, is vibrant and friendly. Accra offers something to make you feel at ease, whether you’re traveling with your family or by yourself, on vacation, or for work. Many beaches surround the city, with Labadi Beach being particularly popular with visitors.

Accra houses the National Museum, which houses many of Ghana’s historical artifacts. The W.E.B. Dubois Center, the International Trade Fair, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial, Independence Square, and the National Theatre are some of the city’s notable attractions. Kumasi was the historic capital of Ghana during the Ashanti kingdom’s reign. It is also one of Ghana’s largest cities. Kumasi is a tourist’s dream, with its bustling marketplaces and friendly people. Gold jewelry, kente fabric, and wooden stools are all popular items here.

As a result, shopping enthusiasts will enjoy this area due to the presence of craft shops in various locations throughout the city. Cape Coast

Cape Coast is a historic European colonial capital and one of Ghana’s most culturally significant locations. The Portuguese named the settlement Cabo Corso, and it was once the major slave-trading center in West Africa. It was here that slaves were transported, imprisoned in the town’s formidable castle, and then loaded onto ships bound for the New World. Cape Coast is largely a fishing town with an artsy feel.

Tema

Tema is a city 25 kilometers outside of Accra, Ghana’s capital. Ghana’s industrial center. It is a man-made harbor that was constructed in 1960. With a population of 161, 612, it is the country’s ninth-largest city.

If visiting Ghana for business, you must visit this city, which is surrounded by several warehouses and enterprises that produce aluminum, refined petroleum, building materials, and other products. It is also one of Ghana’s most beautiful cities, making it the country’s major seaport. It might not be a tourist destination but it’s worth visiting.

Obuasi

Next on my list where Ghana harvests gold ( lol does anyone find that funny?), Obuasi. The city is found in Ghana’s Ashanti Region. Natural resources, particularly gold, are well-known in the city. The townhouses look like a gold mine, and there’s a legend that the streets are lined with gold. This gold mine has attracted a large number of people to the area, which now has a population of 180, 334 people.

Sunyani

Sunyani is the capital and a small city in Ghana’s Bono Region. It has a population of 208, 496 people. The University of Energy and Natural Resources, the Catholic University College of Ghana in Fiapre, and the Sunayi Polytechnic are among the country’s most notable institutions.

This city is home to satellite campuses for the University of Cape Coast and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Sunyani is also home to a number of primary, secondary, and technical schools. Like Tamale, the city’s populace is heavily involved in agricultural production. Sekondi

Sekondi is Ghana’s most gorgeous city. Also, one of Ghana’s best cities to live in. Because the two municipalities united and became known as the “Twin City,” the town was given the name Sekondi-Takoradi. The city is known for its beaches, great architecture, lovely hotels, and mouth-watering restaurants serving local and international cuisines.

It also has one of Ghana’s busiest and most colorful marketplaces, which is heavily patronized by Ghanaians. The city is located in Ghana’s Western Area and has a population of 445, 205 people, making it the country’s fourth most populous metropolitan city and the largest in the Western region.

Koforidua

This is another renowned tourist destination in Ghana. It is the capital of Ghana’s Eastern Region in the south; it is Ghana’s most tranquil and calm city, as well as one of its most attractive. Wa

Wa is a city in northern Ghana that serves as the capital of the Wa Municipal District and the Upper West Region. Wa has a population of 102,446 people in 2012.

There are several attractions you would like to see in Wa, the Wa-Na Palace, St. Andrew’s Catholic cathedral, the University for Development Studies (UDS), a museum, a nearby hippopotamus sanctuary in Wicheau (located in the Wa-West district), the mushroom rock in Jirapa, and the ants hill at Nanvielle are all notable features of the town.

Ho

Ho is the capital of Ghana’s Volta Region and the Ho Municipal District. The Volta Regional Museum, a cathedral, and a prison are located between Mount Adaklu and Mount Galenukui, or the Togo Atakora Range. It was the administrative capital of British Togoland before becoming part of the Volta Region.

Ho was part of the German colony of Togoland until it was conquered by the British during World War I. Mankessim

Mankessim’s history is tied to three famous warriors, Obrumankoma, Odapagyan, and Oson, who assisted in the migration of people from Takyiman in the current Brong Ahafo region to Adoagyir in the Central region.

The traditional paramouncy for all Fantse-speaking people is Mankessim, which is tied to the Nananom Pow (holy grove) near Obidan. It features a big market that draws traders from all across Ghana. Bolgatanga

Bolgatanga, sometimes known as Bolga, is a city in Ghana’s Upper East Region and the capital of the Bolgatanga Municipal District. It is located near the Burkina Faso border. Bolgatanga has a population of 66,685 people and over 2012 settlements. Bolgatanga is located 161 kilometers (approximately 100 miles) north of Tamale.

Yendi

Yendi is the capital of the Yendi Municipal District in Ghana’s Northern Region. Yendi had a population of 52,008 people in 2012. It is the seat of the Dagombas’ supreme chief.

Wenchi

Wenchi is the capital of the Wenchi Municipal in the Bono Region in Ghana’s middle belt. Wenchi sits at an average elevation/altitude of 304 meters and is located at 7.73333 [latitude in decimal degrees], -2.1 [longitude in decimal degrees]. Wenchi is around 30 kilometers north of Techiman and 50 kilometers east of the Ivory Coast border. In 2013, the population of Wenchi was 39,187.

Ashanti-Mampong

Mampong is a town in Ashanti’s Mampong Municipal Municipality acts as the municipality’s administrative capital. The population of Mampong is 42,037 people. Mampong is also the seat of the Asante Mampong Diocese, which was established in 2014.

Konongo

Konongo is a mid-sized town in Ghana’s Ashanti region with a population of 41,238 people, making it one of the country’s major cities. Konongo, a gold mining city, has always been a bustling place. Many decades before the 1950s, it was a very lively metropolis. The Kumasi East Council’s commercial capital, Konongo, later became the Asante-Akyem District. Hohoe
