8 Things you Won’t be able to do on Airplanes Anymore

Several things have changed in regards to air travel during the past few months. The Coronavirus has brought up many concerns and hence many protocols have been put in place to ensure safe air travel. Most airlines have put in place some changes to ensure the safety of the crew and the passengers. There are several things mrpocu.xyz have outline that one may not be able to do in airplanes anymore. I will be listing and explaining 8 of them.

1.Board without a face mask.

A very crucial protocol that must be observed is the wearing of face masks. Due to the high risk of contracting the virus, it is a must for all passengers to be wearing have masks before boarding the plane. It ensures the safety of the crew and passengers in general. But there is also the worry of people taking off the nose masks during the flight.

2.Receive snacks and drink service.

During flights, the flight attendants offer some occasional snacks and drink service. But in this pandemic period, some airlines have reduced this service significantly as they see this service as a ‘touching point’ where crew members and passengers may transmit the virus in the airplane. Although some airlines still serve snacks it is believed that such services will drop significantly in the coming months.

3.Board whenever you want.

Some of the boarding protocols take time hence passengers are advised to get to the airport early. This is to ensure that they don’t miss their flight and pass the necessary protocols before they board the plane. There are a lot of protocols to observe before one can board a flight, and avoid long queues it is advisable to be early at the airport.

4.Order alcohol.

Alcohol is also an item that may be banned from airplanes. Some airlines have already banned alcohol from their itinerary on the plane. Although they do not give a convincing reason why it is speculated that they are trying to adhere to Covid 19 protocols. It is harder for an intoxicated individual to obey the protocols. The possibility of the individual yelling was also a worry.

5.Hand over your ticket.

In the light of trying to get less human contact, airlines are looking for new methods to check tickets before boarding. This would not only ensure less physical contact but also ensures that the virus transmission is reduced. Some of these methods include using mobile passes or checking your verified passes through a machine at the checkpoints.

6.Getting delayed.

The issue of sanitizing seats in the airplane also delays flights. Most people who would want to go first would be disappointed since the protocols put in place rather makes passengers go in a group by group. In between these groups, seats are sanitized repeatedly to prevent any transmission of the virus.

7.No more middle seats.

The cheap flights that the economy class used to enjoy will be heavily affected too. The middle seats which could be booked at low prices have now been blocked by many airlines. This is done to create space between passengers in adherence to social distancing protocols.

8.No more blankets and pillows.

One major feature of airplanes that have been taken off is the provision of blankets and pillows. This is necessary to prevent the spread of the virus. A report by the Wall Street Journal revealed that airlines only clean their blankets between 5 to 30 days. A flight attendant who was also interviewed mentioned the fact that pillows just get folded and placed back in bins. This proves how essential it is to cancel out the use of blankets and pillows by airlines.
