BUSINESS VISAS: A statement from the applicant’s organisation in the country where the mission is located, indicating among other things the reasons for the visit, as well as a supporting/invitation letter from the applicant’s Business Associates in Ghana, in addition to the above.

Tourist Visa Requirements for Ghana Visa

  1. PassportYou must provide your actual signed passport, including one copy of the personal information page of your passport. Your passport must:
    • Be valid for the next six months
    • Have at least two consecutive blank visa pages
    • Not be frayed, torn, separating, or altered in any other wayIf your passport does not meet these requirements, please contact.
  2. PhotographsYou must provide two color, passport-type photographs that meets the following criteria: 
    • Be taken within the last three months and printed on high-quality photo paper
    • Be taken against an all white background
    • Be two inches by two inches
    • Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
    • You may wear neither eyeglasses nor headwear except for religious purposes
    • Your photos should not be affixed to your application and it may not display evidence of adhesive tape or staples
      Proof of Travel ArrangementsYou must provide proof of travel arrangements for the duration of your trip. Details of your intended arrangements must:
    • Include a copy of an itinerary or e-ticket that displays your round trip travel and entry and exit dates for your destination
    • Show the traveler’s full name (as printed in his or her passport)
  3. Hotel ConfirmationAn official hotel confirmation letter is required. The letter must: 
    • Be on an official hotel letterhead
    • Display the full hotel address
    • Include the dates of stay
    • Display your name as it appears in your passport. If accompanied by other travelers, their names must also appear on the hotel confirmation. 
    • Be signed by a hotel staff memberNote: In addition to the signed hotel confirmation letter, a copy of the signee’s Passport/ID must be provided. Note: If staying with a friend or family (not at a hotel) your host must send an invitation letter addressed to the Consulate of Ghana New York. The letter must include the dates of your visit, your host’s full name, full address and phone number in Ghana. Your host must also provide copy of their local ID or passport. 
  4. Children 18 and UnderThe parents of a minor visa applicant must provide a written parental authorization along with copies of each parent’s passport information page and Residence Permit.
  5. Vaccination CertificateYou must provide a photocopy of your CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Card showing full vaccination status.
  6. Proof of Yellow Fever VaccinationYou must provide your original Yellow Fever vaccination certificate.
  7. Single Entry Visa ApplicantsThe Consulates of Ghana issue single entry visas that are valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Travelers are advised to apply for a single entry visa no more than 30 days before the intended departure date. This will ensure that your visa will be valid for the longest duration possible.

Business Visa Requirements For Ghana Visa
