The University of Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program aims to give exceptional international students opportunities who exhibit exceptional academic excellence and innovation as well as who are prominent in the school as leaders. Additionally, the kids must demonstrate their unique influence on their school and community as well as their future potential to positively impact the global community.
The scholarships, which are awarded annually, are intended to honour exceptional students from all across the world. Included are foreign students enrolled in high schools in Canada. This is unquestionably the most significant and competitive scholarship available to international students at the University of Toronto. As a result, about 37 students will be designated Lester B. Pearson Scholars each year.

L. B. Pearson Scholarships are prestigious awards given to students abroad. These awards’ main objective is to draw exceptional people from all over the world. The institution’s mission is to give young talent a proper and reputable platform where they can hone their abilities, get experience, and cultivate their talent in order to get ready to start their professional careers.
The University of Toronto awards Canadian Government scholarships based on both achievement and need. The Canadian Scholarship is a wholly financed program that was created exclusively for overseas students in recognition of their desire to pursue higher education at the University of Toronto.

Value of the Award
The Lester B Pearson International Scholarship will pay for all program costs, including tuition, books, incidentals, and four years of full-time housing support.
Eligibility
An international student nominated by their school will be invited to submit an application to the Lester B Pearson International Scholarship program. Here, an eligible candidate is:
- an international student (i.e. a non-Canadian requiring a study permit)
- an original and creative thinker
- committed to school and community
- a high achiever in academic and creative pursuits
- have demonstrated strong leadership skills
- enthusiastic about learning and intellectual exploration
- currently in their final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2021
- intending to begin university in the upcoming academic year (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their studies in January 2021 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered)

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships will cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support.

- Receive a nomination from your school (High schools not already contacted/verified are asked to submit an application to participate in our program, available here.(external link))(external link)
- Apply to study at the University of Toronto(external link) to begin your studies in 2023 and complete your application for admission by the appropriate deadlines(external link). Please be advised that you will be considered for the Pearson Scholarship for your first choice of program at U of T. You may apply for several programs and may receive admission to them all; however, the Pearson Scholarship, if awarded to you, would be restricted to your first choice of the program at U of T at the time our scholarship decisions are made.
