Urban Grill Accra started in the spring of 2015, fusing African elements with the idea of a modern grill restaurant. Graven Images (Missoni, Radisson), a multi-award-winning design firm, and Nada Moukarzel (owner and curator of La Maison, one of Ghana’s top lifestyle boutiques), have created a stunning restaurant that exudes uptown, urban glitz. The customers adore the enormous variety of Josper Grilled Nebraskan USD-graded beef cuts that are topped with roasted spring onions and chillies. Jimmy’s is a cosy pub with comfortable leather seating that’s a fantastic spot to relax while sipping on a martini or the venue’s unique Meko Martini. Additionally, Urban Grill Accra hosts cinema evenings when guests can watch movies outside while sipping on South American premium rum Ron Zacapa. It also has Ghana’s largest outdoor movie screen. On Saturday nights, the restaurant switches from serving meat to serving beats as live performers get the terrace partygoers dancing. The restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Accra.
The restaurant is under the management of the Yolo Experience brand. Yolo Experiences was established with the goal of establishing new benchmarks in West African hospitality, art, lifestyle shopping, fashion, and design. The La Maison interior homeware design and concept stores, the eateries Santoku, Coco Lounge, Urban Grill Accra, and Carbon, as well as the South African café chain Vida E Caffé, are all part of Yolo Experiences. Loft, a line of home fragrances released by La Maison in 2013, began with a candle aroma designed to symbolize Ghana with the flower Queen of the Night. Ghana Edition, the first style manual for Accra and the surrounding area, was also released in the same year.
