Westland Accra Residential is a neighbourhood in Greater Accra Region. Northeast of Anumle and south of Papao is where you’ll find Westland Residential. Four kilometres to the west of the University of Ghana is the Ga East Municipality’s Westland neighbourhood, popularly known as West Legon. It belongs to the Dome-Kwabenya electoral district. Westlands is one of Accra’s most affluent districts.
Most residents and foreigners are from the middle to higher classes. It has a solid road network, is well-organized, and is easily reachable from other adjacent areas including Achimota, Dome, and Legon. The main Haatso road runs from Legon and Madina on one side to the Kwabenya neighbourhood on the other, with an exit going to the Westland residential neighbourhood in the middle. The daytime hours are typically crowded on this route. The area is arguably one of the best places to stay in Accra.
This community has access to the majority of residential necessities, including banks, ATMs, shops, petrol stations, and schools. There aren’t many enterprises there, though some home offices may have developed, as it is mostly a residential area. The same is true of the businesses and stores in Westland Accra, many of them, like the American Dream Store, stock imported goods to suit the tastes of some people. It is less crowded than the majority of other commercial-residential neighbourhoods because it is often a growing residential neighbourhood.
The most common types of homes in West Legon are detached and semi-detached-story residences. Thanks to a nearby police station, residents enjoy reasonable access to power and water as well as reasonable security. One of the local schools is Brainy Brain, which offers pre-, primary-, and secondary-level instruction. Other neighbouring universities include the University of Ghana and the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
After the Sunset Bar and Grill, a popular hangout in this neighbourhood offers a selection of Ghanaian and some continental cuisines. Villa Victoria Guest House, Royal Palm Groove Lodge, Westlands Precious Hotel, and Oscarpak Royal Hotel are a few places where travellers and locals can stay nearby.
