In this article, I’ll list some of the top and safe areas or neighborhood in Accra that is best for tourist.

Top Neighborhood in Accra
1.Osu Oxford Street
Arguably, Osu Oxford street is the main tourist district where you’ll find the higher-end of nightlife that is best for tourists. Stay in Osu and you will find some of the best restaurants, shopping malls and meet other international tourists. Even though it can be a little expensive to stay at Osu during your trip but it is the best place to stay as a tourist visiting Ghana for the first time. Buy some African wear and feel at home on Oxford street.
2.East Legon
The best place to be if you want to feel the heartbeat of the city. Watching busy locals go about their days, eating at some fine restaurants, enjoying affordable night clubs and also friendly locals. East Legon offers more expensive hotels than budget once. Close to Osu district is Cantonment – a newer developed luxury stay and living area of Accra. The district is also close to the popular shopping mall in Ghana, Accra Mall. It’s is not a perfect place for nightlife in Accra. But it’s best for accommodation.
5.Haatso
It’s not one of the popular places for tourists but it is one of the best peaceful and safe places to stay in Accra. If you are on a budget and still looking for a cool place to stay during your visit, then Haatso should be first on your bucket list.
