It’s built directly next to the sea in Keta, and it serves as a transit hub and final stop for slaves before being taken to the Americas and the Caribbeans.

The Amedzofe Canopy Walkway is one of the newest tourist attractions in the Volta Region, designed to provide adventure and enjoyment for families and friends.

Atorkor Slave Market
Atorkor was a major slave market during the slave trade’s heyday. As a result, a memorial was built in one of Keta’s renowned technical institutions to commemorate the slaves’ arduous journey.
The memorial that wraps around the walls serves as a harsh reminder of how leaders were duped and bribed into allowing foreigners to steal slaves from their nations.

Kyabobo National Park
Ghana’s National Park (pronounced CHAY-a-bobo) is a new eco-tourism attraction. The Kyabobo National Park, which covers 220 square kilometres and is widely famous for its beautiful vistas and well-protected wildness, is a rare highland conservation region with breathtaking views and well-protected wildness. Kyabobo is in the Nkwanta district of the northern Volta region, on the border with Togo. The closest town is Nkwanta.
The reserve was established in 1997. Within the park, travellers can see Mount Dzebobo, Ghana’s second-highest mountain, which offers a breathtaking perspective of Lake Volta.
The park lies in a semi-arid zone between tropical rainforest and tree savanna. The park contains plants and animals from both the forest and the savannah. Its woodlands are home to Talbotiella genetic, a nationally endangered endemic tree.
The park’s wildlife includes buffalo, kob, warthog, Aardvark, bushbuck, duikers, and baboons. Among the endangered species are lions, elephants, bongos, reedbucks, leopards, and hartebeests. There are at least 500 butterfly species and 235 bird species, according to a park evaluation. The park offers challenging multi-day hikes through hilly terrain, as well as mountain biking, wildlife viewing hides, shrines, and holy groves, and an interesting cultural experience.
