Mamprobi is a town located in Ghana’s Greater Accra Region’s Accra Metropolitan area. It is situated north of Chorkor, northeast of Old Dansoman, and south of Lartebiokorshie. The area is one of the typical Ga areas in Accra and arguably one of the best places to stay. Chorkor is a fishing area and a neighbourhood close to Mamprobi.
The then Mamprobi Clinic was built in the 1960s initially as an outreach point for community work in the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. The executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly(AMA), reiterated the government’s commitment to providing the necessary infrastructure and logistics to improve healthcare services in the country. It has been upgraded to the status of a primary hospital to meet the health needs of the growing population of the Ablekuma South Sub-Metropolitan District and its environs.
