Adomi Bridge – Popular Bridge in Ghana

The Adomi Bridge is a popular vehicular and pedestrian bridge that spans the gorgeous Volta Lake and connects the Volta and Eastern regions of Ghana, making it one of the country’s most important and commercially active bridges.

The bridge is 334 meters long, making it Ghana’s second-longest bridge after the Sogakope Bridge, which is located in the Volta region. A hinged steel arch bridge with an unique deck suspended by cables is part of the bridge’s design.

The Adomi Bridge has been under the control of the Asuogyaman local assembly since its completion in 1957. However, in April of this year, the local assembly, the Ghana Highway Authority, and the Ghana Tourism Development Company reached an agreement for Adomi Bridge to be classified as a tourist site due to the large number of tourists who visit the facility on a daily basis.

Ghana Travel Restrictions

Ghana is open to most travelers again. I mean travelers from all over the world. However, you do need proof of your COVID-19 vaccination(s) or a negative test result before being allowed entry.

Many hotels, attractions, and private tours are open with new health & safety protocols in place, and you still have to follow certain guidelines. They are all good for our safety.
