Randpark Golf Club, Johannesburg – South Africa

Two exquisitely carved golf courses make up The Randpark Golf Club. The Windsor 12 was first built in 1946 and is now known as the Bushwillow after having undergone a thorough redesign in 1952 by the renowned Bob Grimsdell. Windsor had another “facelift” in April 2012 as part of the course’s 70th anniversary, and it would finally be given the new moniker Bushwillow. You may be familiar with “Amen Corner, The Bear Trap, and The Gauntlet” as some of the more thrilling play places at Bushwillow. You are of course welcome to experience them yourself if you haven’t already.

Firethorn is the second course and the youngest of the two. Firethorn, the more recent of the two courses designed by Sid Brews, has undoubtedly grown into another outstanding South African layout. Golf Data has made it possible for Firethorn to get updates and, in some cases, full reconstructions. Don’t imagine for a second that it will be an easy day out at 7014m.

There are numerous amenities available at Randpark Golf Club, including: “Two highly regarded, distinctive 18-hole golf courses, Bushwillow and Firethorn, to accommodate up to 180 Golfers for Golf Events; a practice putting green; a short game practice facility; a well-stocked Pro Shop; a floodlit driving range; club-hire service from the Pro Shop, and more.

The Fairway Hotel & Spa is a chic Johannesburg hotel that offers the ultimate venue for golf tournaments and leisure guests in a peaceful environment. It is located on the Randpark Golf Course, 2 kilometres from Cresta Shopping Centre.
