SUMMARY OF ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 
Applicants must possess, at least, HND 2nd Class (Lower Division) certificate in Graphic Design, Sculpture, Ceramics and Painting, Textiles and Fashion Design & Technology from any recognized University/Polytechnic. Candidates with equivalent qualifications/certificates can seek clarification from the Admissions Office.

TTU Grading System Is a Structure Where students are been graded according to their score in Semester Examinations ;

TTU Grading System 2021/2022; Students’ Performance in a course shall be graded as follows:

B+ 75-79 3.5 Very Good

B 70-74 3.0 Good

C+ 65-69 2.5 Very Fair

C 60-64 2.0 Fair

E 0-49 0 Unsatisfactory

X – – Absent

Grades A to D are Pass Grades

Grade E is Failure Grade

Classification of the awards for the diploma program is as follows:

Takoradi Technical University Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)

Distinction CGPA of 3.5 – 4.0

Credit CGPA of 2.5 – 3.49

Pass CGPA of 1.0 – 2.49

Fail CGPA of less than -1.0

Classification of award for the BA programme is as follows:

First Class CGPA of 3.5 – 4.00

Second Class (Upper Division) CGPA of 3.0 – 3.49

Second Class (Lower Division) CGPA of 2.5 – 2.99

Third Class CGPA of 2.0 – 2.49

Pass CGPA of 1.1 – 1.99

Fail CGPA of less than 1.0

How is CGPA calculated in Ghana? Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA): The student’s cumulative grade point average is calculated by dividing the total number of grade points obtained, up to any specified time, by the total number for credits for all courses for which the student has registered up to that time.
