In 2013, an actor and dancer named Coudjoe Nana Nyarko, better known as CNN, coined the term “KofCity,” which has been positively received by many who now refer to the city as such, although others prefer “KofTown.”

Ghana Travel Restrictions

Ghana is once again open to most tourists. I’m referring to tourists from all over the world. Before you can enter, you must show documentation of your COVID-19 vaccination(s) or a negative test result.

Many hotels, attractions, and private tours have updated health and safety regulations in place, and you must still adhere to specific rules. They are all beneficial to our safety.

Places in Koforidua

1.Daasebre Estates

This is one of Koforidua’s “little villages,” sharing a border with the Densu Ano inhabitants and a route connecting it to the Old Estates.

It is a neighborhood that anyone would like living in for a variety of reasons.

Gate-like environs: Despite the fact that there is no gate to this community, it appears to be one. Its main entrance is as lovely as if one were entering a gated community. Almost every house in Daasebree is neatly walled. It’s one of the nicest areas to reside in Koforidua, with plenty of privacy, especially at night, and plenty of light during the day.

If you don’t like having too many people around you, you’ll want your home to be cute, quiet, tidy, and serene. This is the information you’ve been looking for.

2.Adweso SSNIT Flat

This area, which is bordered by the Koforidua Secondary Technical (SECTECH) and the New Juaben Senior High School, is home to some of the city’s most renowned citizens. Like its Old Estates counterpart, the Adweso SSNIT flats are recognized for their well-kept roadways. Since the flats were built, the region has been in high demand. People continue to inquire about houses to buy in the community, despite the fact that the buildings there are no longer for sale.

The community is home to the renowned King of Glory Early Childhood Development Centre, one of Koforidua’s most notable development centers. The famed Clinical Pastoral Education, Ghana’s only one, and the former Mac Dic Royal Hotel (Now, Mac Dic Royal Annex) are just a few of the reasons why this neighborhood is one of the best locations to reside.

Proximity to the Highway: The Adweso SSNIT Flats are conveniently located near the motorway that connects the Adweso neighborhood to the city center, making commuting to and from the suburb a breeze.

Excellent lighting: Certainly, this is one of the suburbs where you can get up in the middle of the night and go for a jog; the neighborhood is nearly always brightening, thanks to its well-kept streets and lighting.

Silent Environment:

With many trees in the community, this is one of the greenest and quietest areas in Koforidua. The environment is always full of fresh air, especially at night. Even if you’re only passing by, you won’t be able to escape the impression of being in a “garden” in this neighborhood.

Finally, it is one of the most accessible areas in KofCity; taxis will ply the Adweso SSNIT flats at all hours of the day and night.

3.Atekyem – Kassadjan

Atekyem-Kassadjan is unquestionably one of Koforidua’s “housing hot cakes,” with new highways set to open in early 2020. The hamlet, which is close to the bypass connecting the “Poly Junction” and the “Licence Office – Asokore Roundabout,” has gradually grown with several infrastructures.

The new roads and buildings that are rising up are one of the reasons this is one of the nicest places to live. In early 2020, the Souls Habour, Plan Ghana Office, Koforidua Hospital, and Oasis of Love Retreat Centre all received a refurbishment. The new structures that are rising up in the area appear to have coincided with the development of new roads in the area, giving the neighborhood a fresh look.

There will undoubtedly be a “rush” for housing in the community, but as the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm.

This community is gradually evolving into an autonomous community as it undergoes a significant facelift that will provide it with nearly everything a community requires to become self-sufficient, such as schools, hospitals, and markets.

4.Old Estates

The Old Estates is a neighborhood in New York City that began as a Social Security and National Investment Trust (SSNIT) flat. The neighborhood gradually grew to include other flats built by people. For good cause, the community has developed a reputation as the “most sought after” location for professionals and the privileged. Arguably, Old Estate is popular among all Areas in Koforidua.

Old Estates is one of the KofCity suburbs with nearly every road in the community paved.

Many people choose it since it has enough functioning street lights. If you’re the sort who goes out and comes home late, you should be concerned about your safety. And when it comes to security at night, the most important rule is to see and be seen. For her residents, The Old Estates delivers exactly that.

Low level of noise: Unlike other places with a reputation for being rowdy, such as Betom, Jackson Park, or sections of Srodae, the Old Estates is a peaceful spot. And you can rest assured that you will be in a peaceful setting where you will be able to rest or snooze whenever you like without fear of being startled awake by a sudden headache.

Taxis working all the time: Unlike some communities like Abugri where taxis will not ply when it rains unless for a good price, Old Estates is one of those places where you are almost always going to find a taxi home anytime, in any weather. And oh if you are a taxi driver who wants to ply your trade to the Old Estates, be warned, the people in this community don’t board old taxis.
